Sue Kim

Sue Kim, M.S.O.M, L.Ac. began her career as a registered nurse in the NICU and Maternity Units in Korea and the US.  From 2001, she worked in modern hospitals and provided both comprehensive care to newborns with complex disorders and delivery room care for high-risk infants.  After caring for premature and - often-times - ill babies for many years, she wanted to help couples who wished to conceive by focusing on healthier lifestyle and reproductive systems for prenatal health.  The idea of a human’s natural healing energy began to resonate with her, and she started to pursue her own ideal balance in life with yoga, healthy diet and meditation.  Inevitably, this passion led her to pursue enrolling into a rigorous Oriental Medicine program at Dongguk University in Los Angeles and eventually becoming a licensed acupuncturist by 2014.

Since obtaining her acupuncture license, Sue worked at several oriental medicine clinics in Orange County, receiving hands-on experience and training in diverse techniques including Four-needle, Master Tung’s, Constitution Medicine, facial acupuncture and herbal decoctions creation from raw/prepared herbs.  Her treatment focused on detox, skin issues, allergies, pain and fertility issues.  After going through pregnancy and being a mom of two herself, she has become an on-site acupuncturist in an IVF clinic and has supported couples through their fertility journey.  She has assisted in many reproductive treatments such as IUI, IVF and pre & post transfer and has helped many patients with Diminished Ovarian Reserve, PCOS, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, stress and emotional issues.  With her experience in both western and eastern approaches to health, she utilizes her training from both backgrounds to achieve her patients’ health goals more effectively.

Sue seeks to treat the patient as a whole, not just the disease or symptoms.  She reviews all the aspects of a person’s physical and emotional makeup and helps patients to find his or her own balance to maintain a healthy lifestyle and boost the innate natural healing energy that every person is capable of.  Her specialization is in the following:  1) Infertility support for both men and women; 2) Pregnancy & Postpartum care; 3) Perimenopause and Menopause; and, 4) Healthy Aging and Facial Acupuncture.
